The topic of the Forum is “Lines of the new economic policy of the South of Russia”. It is participated by nearly 350 representatives of medium and large businesses, administrations of cities and regions of the South of Russia, analytics and experts. For the first time the Forum takes place in Exhibition and Congress venue “Expograd-Yug” with an address at Kongressnaya Street, 1. Head of the capital of Kuban Vladimir Evlanov is a permanent participant of the Forum.
— International Forum of the biggest companies of Southern Federal District takes place in Krasnodar for the sixth time. It has already gained high recognition and become one of important events of year. This year the Forum takes place in new modern exhibition venue “Expograd-Yug” that was opened only this year. We are extremely interested that such events within which authorities and business could get together and discuss development prospects and mutual expectations to be held in Krasnodar. These events are aimed at finding out effective solutions to strengthen the local and country’s economy, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
During annual Forum participants evaluate the contribution of regional large business into economy of Southern Federal District. One of its main tasks is the creation of conditions for a dialogue between authorities and large business on strategic issues of the development, exchange of progressive management experience and presentation of the Russian South priority projects for potential investors.
The Forum was organized by administration of Krasnodar City and media holding “Expert”.
Traditionally Forum gathered chiefs of the biggest companies of the Russian South, representatives of executive and legislative government authorities of Sothern Federal District, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, business associations and association of economic cooperation of regions.
In the course of ceremonial opening held in one of halls of central pavilion of Exhibition and Congress venue “Expograd Yug” Director General, chief editor of “Expert Yug” magazine Vladimir Kozlov addressed to the participants and guests of Forum.
— We gave start to the event in order to summarize and discuss economic policy an integral part of which large business is. The Forum name reflects our understanding of current agenda. We have always treated the South of Russia and particularly Krasnodar Region as an ambitious region. There is a range of territorial entities of the Russian Federation which would be glad to be at zero indicators of development. But again there are regions not sharing that stand. We are aimed to support those who want to develop. It is clear that we have a number of questions in the current circumstances – what to do next? Former strategies of the development do not work in the context of the second wave of crisis. Today we would like to conduct a “brain storming” session to work out future strategy for regional development implementation of which will be mostly dependent on big businesses and to outline new economic policy of the South of Russia. Our plenary and thematic sessions are actually dedicated to these topics, — Vladimir Kozlov said.
Business agenda of the Forum opens with plenary discussion “Lines of the new economic policy of the Region” which is participated by Vladimir Evlanov. In the second half of the day it is planned to conduct thematic sessions: “Workforce productivity in the South of Russia: how to extend best practices?” and “Support to producers and public procurement market”.
Interregional forum of the biggest companies of Southern Federal District has been conducted since 2007. It took place in Rostov-on-Don for the first three years, then “moved in” Krasnodar.
Media holding “Expert” represents a branched international publishing and research group. Apart from nationwide business magazine “Expert” it includes Russian regional editions, analytical resource “Expert Online”, leader of the Russian rating market — Rating Agency “Expert RA” etc.
