Financial University under the Government of the RF conducted research on the living conditions in Russian cities. Krasnodar was rated in the fourth place.
— In our work we tried to join a maximum number of indicators describing level and quality of life of the population in Russian cities and join various methodological approaches in one scientific research. One more goal of our work was the development of tooling required for practical evaluation of the life quality of the Russian population, — specialists in Financial University commented.
Research output and scientific papers regarding problems of the life quality of people, reports data of international and Russian organizations, published government programs of social and economic development, Russian and international statistical databases, summarizing social and economic information in different areas made the basis of the research. Expert assessments of the life quality of Russian cities population made by Center for Strategic Studies of Rosgosstrakh Company, data regarding the life quality of Russian population yielded by other research centers (including centers which are engaged in public opinion polling), mass media materials and other open resources were taken into consideration.
Finally it has been found out that Tyumen tops the rating, Moscow and Kazan take the second and third places correspondingly. In whole Tyumen, Krasnodar, Kazan, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg are among leaders whatever methodological approach are used. Togliatti, Astrakhan, Omsk, Ulyanovsk, Kurgan, Volgograd are among outsiders according to any used methodological approach on determining of the life quality of Russian cities population, — one in Financial University added.
Natural increase and decline in the population, an average monthly salary, housing per capita, residential houses commissioning, number of doctors per 10 thousand people, preschool institutions availability, number of students attending general education schools, number of recorded crimes and other indicators were studied for determining of the life quality of Russian cities population.
37 Russian cities with population exceeding 500 thousand people and that play a large role in public and economic life of the country were taken for analyses. Along with that, regions where all these cities situate totally give more than three parts of the whole country’s GDP.
