Journalists of the portal talked with Krasnodar Head on issues related to the city development, municipal budget forming, roads construction, creation new recreation areas and other topics.
— I always read your news, analytical articles with interest because Krasnodar takes a prominent part in them. Over many years you are among leaders of information space in our region. For me, as Mayor of the city, your view and your attitude to one or another question of the city development are very valuable, — Vladimir Evlanov said while seeing over editorial office of the portal.
While interacting with journalists and answering questions Head of the city told that at the present time a project for water sports centre is being developed in Krasnodar. It is planned to locate the centre at Kuban River backwater with closed circuit where water will be supplied from artesian wells. If the project implementation will turn to be a successful one, so such beaches with swimming pools will be created at Karasun ponds, on the beach Old Kuban in Gidrostroiteley microdistrict where landscaping works have already been started.
With regard to the territory of the former water park “Ekvator” Vladimir Evlanov explained that it is the private territory and now municipal authorities negotiate with the property owner to create on its place another recreation area, maybe, indoor water park.
Also the discussion touched the questions of the construction roads, junctions, bridges, implementation the most ambitious infrastructural projects.
— Due to tough financial situation all large-scale projects implementation within the framework of regional programmes are suspended. I hope that the financial situation in our region and the country in whole will be getting better and from next year all development programmes will revive. This relates to new Yablonovskiy Bridge, road junctions and other infrastructure facilities which Krasnodar needs, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
He also stated that in Krasnodar priority is still being given to public transport and invited journalists together will all citizens to take part in the selection of new tram for Krasnodar. Now it is to be decided which one of the two trams are more comfortable and convenient – already working three-section tram “Vityaz” made in Tula plant, or newly presented Belorussian “Metelitsa”.
Besides that during one and a half hour conversation they discussed the creation of bicycle paths – Head of the city underlined that new roads within the city is being designed with consideration for the necessity of bicycle paths. Thus, a new road in Vostochno-Kruglikovskaya Street will be provided with bicycle infrastructure.
