A phased plan of actions on organization of bicycling paths within street and road network of Kuban capital will be worked out. Appropriate act has been signed by Head of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov.
— The department of construction and municipal public institution “Single buying service” were recommended to organize their work in keeping with this plan. Thus, arrangement of bike lanes will be supposed in the process of engineering, construction and reconstruction of road facilities objects, — a specialist from municipal department of traffic management said.
In accordance with the municipal act as of 18.09.2014 the department of architecture and city construction is recommended to work out amendments to relevant regulations regarding local standards of town-building design in terms of requirements for provision of multistoried residential houses land with places for bicycles storing.
Bicycle lanes and bicycle parkings will be taken into account in the process of development of urban territory planning projects and when issuing development requirements specifications for the development of urban territory planning projects.
In prospect bicycle lanes and bicycle parkings will appear within the territory of city parks and near to objects of consumer’s market sphere.
Today Krasnodar is one of leaders among cities of Russia wherein bicycling infrastructure is being most actively developed. Due to information of the department of traffic management among Russian metropolitan cities also Moscow and Ufa conduct an active work on this direction.
It is supposed that as early as the end of 2014, stretch of bicycle lanes in Krasnodar will make about 42 kilometers. Offers and wishes of community representatives as well as bicyclists themselves will be considered when designing and introducing bicycle lanes.
