Retro bicycling journey started on the Bridge of Kisses. Firstly bicyclists went to Pushkin Square and further to Theatre Square where English five-o’clock tee-drinking took place.
— Today is an evidence of the fact that number of followers of healthy living in Krasnodar are growing year by year. The more popular bicycling journeys are the more citizens come by bicycles together with their families to participate in this bicycling event. In this year municipal authorities are going to lengthen bicycle paths by several times. Creation of bicycle parking places and bicycle repair bays is also supposed for the short-term, — Deputy Head of the city Victor Bondar said.
The department of physical training and sports of Krasnodar administration together with bicycling activist Ilya Feigenov acted as organizers of the event.
Tables were served and onsite luncheon bar was organized for mass tea-drinking at the main square of the city.
Victor Bondar conversed with bicyclists. They talked about prospects for the development of amateur bicycling in Krasnodar and widening of net of bicycle paths around the city.
In this year bicycling journey has a feature — there were congratulations of bicyclists couple within the event program — Anna and Konstantin Trudik have married. They arrived to the action just after the ceremony of marriage registration.
Anna and Konstantin are well-known Krasnodar participants of bicycling movement, active supporters of bicycling development and healthy leaving in Krasnodar.
Retro bicycling journey happens in Krasnodar for the fourth time. Over 2 thousand people have taken part in this event since 2010.
Krasnodar should be opened for bicycling and summer time has to be dedicated to evolvement of this healthy activity. This agenda was discussed during the recent meeting in Krasnodar administration.
