The first electronic display is installed at tramway stopping in Krasnodar

The first information electronic display started functioning at tramway stopping “Cooperative market” along Kommunarov Street in Kuban capital.  

— Now it works in test mode and displays current information about trams movement. It is “the first fruit” in implementation of a program on fitting of all stops of Krasnodar with modern electronic equipment as part of the development of municipal transport infrastructure worked out by order of Krasnodar Head Vladimir Evlanov, — one in the department of transport and environment protection explained.

According to principal engineer of Krasnodar Tram and Trolleybus Directorate (KTTD) Nikolay Melnikov, the information panel has been manufactured at navigation equipment plant in Novosibirsk under order of Krasnodar. The panel is 120 to 60 cm in size, displays information about means of transport passing through the stop, route number and time-of-arrival.

In the recent days the information panel put in a strong performance. Without failing it displays accurate information about movement of trams passing through the stopping in Kommunarov Street. Under provisions of agreement with manufacturing plant in Novosibirsk the electronic panel is to work in Krasnodar during a specified time-period.

In terms of results obtained it is planned to conclude an agreement with the plant on manufacturing of another batch of electronic equipment for public transport stops in Krasnodar, — specialist of KTTD said.
