During today’s working meeting in Krasnodar administration the issues of streets and squares decoration, Christmas fair, fire safety in the period of New Year holidays were discussed.
— On 19 December the main square of the capital of Kuban hosts the opening of traditional Christmas fair. By this time the territory should become festively beautified. Trade pavilions will have special embellishments and all around must be decorated with festive illumination. Theater Square should become a centre of attraction for citizens and guests of Krasnodar for the whole period of New Year and Christmas holidays, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
Besides that Head of the capital of Kuban remarked that within following days Krasnodar’s streets, windows of shops and public catering enterprises, offices and social objects must be also beautified.
At the meeting attention was also drawn to the question of fire safety ensuring in the winter and in particular during New Year and Christmas holidays.
According to information provided by Сhief of the department of сivil protection Vasily Kramarenko 528 fire events occurred in Krasnodar in 2015 (by 7 per cent less than in 2014). Damages amounted to nearly 12 million roubles, 15 people died by fire and 34 were injured.
Vasily Kramarenko also underlined that at the present time specialists pay special attention to fire-prevention measures in private sector and within territories of horticultural co-operatives. Over 12 thousand fire-protection instruction booklets have been distributed among population and vigorous propaganda is carried out in mass media.
— We need to mobilize community, to involve local community boards, public associations and to arrange explanatory discussions on the necessity for compliance with all fire safety standards, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
