The objects of Krasnodar’s hotel infrastructure undergo classification

The procedure of obligatory classification of hotels, inns, hostels and guest houses is being performed at the territory of Krasnodar.

— The planned activities on conducting the procedure of classification of hotels, inns, hostels and guest houses are aimed to improve services in the sphere of Kuban capital hospitality. It is more important in the run-up to FIFA Football World Cup, — one in the department of economic development, investments and external affairs commented.

The classification of hotel industry objects is performed by accredited at the territory of Krasnodar Region organizations — OJSC “Kurort expertiza” and non-profit partnership “National center of independent expert evaluation” with assistance of the department of economic development, investments and external affairs of Krasnodar administration.

In accordance with Federal Act №108 of 7 June 2013 “On preparation and holding of FIFA Football World Cup 2018 and FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 in the Russian Federation and on introducing amendments to separate legislative acts of the Russian Federation” since 1 July 2016 in constituent entities of the Russian Federation where sports tournaments will take place the delivery of hotel services and temporary accommodation services and (or) provision of temporary accommodation will be permitted only with the availability of classification certificates.

Having undergone classification procedure hotels receive the certificate of classification category. The availability of such a document will particularly give Krasnodar’s hotels the possibility to receive guests, fans and participants of sports tournaments and events of any level. It is known that the Russian Federation including Krasnodar Region hosts FIFA Football World Cup in 2018 and FIFA Confederations Cup in 2017.

Today there are 224 hotels, mini-inns and guest houses working in Krasnodar. Only 54 of them have received classification certificates. Among them – Hilton Garden Inn Krasnodar, the first chain hotel in Krasnodar which has received “four stars” category in October 2015.
