On Sundey, August 13, the Mayor of Krasnodar talked with a well-known Krasnodar masterchef Andrey Matyukha, the winner of the Russian stage of prestigious international cooking contest Bocuse d'Or ("Golden Bocuse"), about the development of food tourism, restaurant and culinary business in the capital of Kuban. The communication was unusual — when interacting Evgeny Pervyshov and Andrey Matyukha were preparing two dishes of high cuisine.
"You have achieved a great deal and now represent Krasnodar and Russia at the world's most prestigious cooking contest. And this is a big breakthrough for our city in this area. The restaurant business in Krasnodar is developing successfully. And, of course, it is wonderful that without leaving the city residents can taste the best dishes prepared in accordance with the standards and requirements of high cuisine," said Evgeny Pervyshov.
Evgeny Pervyshov and Andrey Matyukha talked and cooked in one of the masterchef's restaurants in Krasnodar — Ugli Ugli. Andrey Matyukha chose two dishes for joint cooking: pike perch with "milk" from cauliflower and almonds, with pasta from tarragon, dillweed oil and fast ice cream from peach with biscuits.
The whole cooking process took about an hour. As Andrey Matyukha explained, he deliberately chose two dishes. That dishes is cooked with the technologies and tastes which had been used by chef in the Russian stage of the "Golden Bocuse" and brought him victory. Two servings of each dish were being prepared simultaneously. Then they served the dishes.
Evgeny Pervyshov explained that he himself liked to cook, although it was not often possible to do because of the tight working schedule. He preferred cooking meat dishes.
During the conversation, they discussed the development of the culinary industry in Krasnodar. Andrey Matyukha noted that in Krasnodar quality restaurants, which cooks at the level of the European brand ones, become much more and that they are already known outside the region.
