The committee for the post of Krasnodar’s Mayor has received documents from eight candidates. Today at 17:00 the committee stops the submission of documents.
— At this moment eight persons have expressed their intention to take part in the competition for the post of Krasnodar Head. They submitted all necessary documents, — one of members of the committee, Chief of the department of human recourses and municipal service Oleg Zubritskiy informed.
The list of candidates includes Evgeny Kalioropulo — Chief of municipal administration department of transport and environment protection, Valery Oblogin — Director General of “Waste Management Company”, Vladimir Evlanov — current Head of Krasnodar, Sergei Klimov — Chairman of housing cooperative, Vyacheslav Yatsenko — individual entrepreneur and lawyer, Alexander Boltaevskiy — Deputy Director General of “Rostovvodokanal” OJSC, temporarily unemployed Evgeny Ilin and Oleg Zabara.
Evgeny Kalioropulo became the first one who submitted documents on July 22, Alexander Boltaevskiy — the last one, today at 16:30.
As previously reported, on July 17 in the course of municipal’s Duma 81st session deputies approved the procedure for the conduct of competition for the post of Krasnodar City Mayor.
According to the procedure, in the first stage competition committee on a competitive basis selects some candidates from all applicants (no less than two). In the second stage newly elected deputies appoint new Mayor of Krasnodar from the selected candidates.
The competition itself will be conducted in two stages: firstly the committee evaluates the fullness, credibility and timeliness of documents delivery. Those ones passing the first stage will become participants of the competition’s second stage which will be held in the form of an individual interview. The committee members will assess professional and individual skills of the contest participants.
As a result of interview all candidates receive points (from 0 to 10). Then the committee counts the total amount of points received by participants. Upon completion of the second stage of the competition the committee members have to take decision on nomination of at least two candidates for the post of Krasnodar Mayor who will be later appointed by newly elected Krasnodar City Duma.
New Head of Krasnodar will be selected by deputies of the 6th Krasnodar City Duma at the first session of municipal parliament.
