Vladimir Evlanov: We will proceed to expand “green lungs” of Krasnodar

One of topics of Kuban capital Head annual report to Krasnodar City Duma deputies was an improvement of ecologic environment in the city as well as inseparably associated work on preservation and expanding of green zones.

—  The previous year we have discussed the importance of this process. And now we can review provisional results of work done. As of today’s date 37 green zones have been nominated and confirmed within the territory of Krasnodar. The list includes 20 garden squares, 13 parks and 4 city gardens. Documentation for fourfold widening of “Christmas” Park territory has been already prepared, — Vladimir Evlanov said.

Besides of that reconstruction works at boulevard along Krasnaya Street are close to completion, Platanovyy boulevard and Peoples’ Friendship garden square are obtaining their finished appearances. Foundation of boulevard along Solnechnaya Street is being actively continued.

— Such a massive work in this direction in Krasnodar has never been carried out throughout city’s history. All of us understand that the process may not be stopped – we have to keep on developing “green lungs” of Krasnodar, so we need new parks, garden squares and boulevards, — mayor stated.

Another significant step was made by the city in sphere of household waste handling. The first stage of waste sorting plant started working in the past year.

— This plant brining into operation will let us change root and branch of process of waste treatment and disposing. Step by step we come up to introduction of separate waste collection technology, — Krasnodar Head emphasized.

Annual report of Vladimir Evlanov “On results of one’s activity and results of activity of administration of Krasnodar City municipal formation in 2013” became the major item on the agenda of the 62nd extended session of Krasnodar City Duma.

The open session of City Duma is participated by Kuban Governor Alexander Tkachev, the first Vice-Governor of Krasnodar Region Dzhambulat Khatuov, Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly and Krasnodar City Duma deputies, chiefs of branch and territorial departments of city’s administration, representatives of law-enforcement agencies, enterprises and organizations of regional center and a wide public. Every attendee received a suite of documents including detailed report of the main social and economic lines of city’s life in 2013.
