Krasnodar starts installing public transport stops of a new generation

At the intersection of Gogolya and Zheleznodorozhnaya streets specialists have installed a new generation tram stop equipped with electronic display. This is the first out of 243 modern public transport stops which will be installed in the capital of Kuban until the autumn.

— In Krasnodar the work on installing of modern transport stops of the new generation and information stands within public transport stops has been started by order of Head of the city Vladimir Evlanov. The stands will give a modern look to the city and make a significant contribution to the creation of the single architectural look, — Deputy Director of the department of architecture and city construction Vasily Gorbunov said.

The work on installing of new public transport stops has begun on the basis of the results of tender. “Touch Media Group” LLC became the winner of the tender. The company has already set to work.

— New trolleybus and tram stops are easily installed and they are to a high degree vandal-resistant. All the constructions are made in a factory from highly resistant materials with a reliable margin of strength. New stop pavilions are as good as corresponding ones which are now installed in many European capital cities, — a representative of the contracting firm said.

The construction of pavilions is factory made from extra high-tensile steel and covered with vandal-resistant and corrosion-preventing paint. The roof is made of shockproof glass — triplex.

According to specialists of municipal department of architecture and city construction — 184 tram stop pavilions and 143 trolleybus stop pavilions will be totally installed in Krasnodar. Besides of that 30 modern information stands will be mounted near to stop pavilions.

All new pavilions will be equipped with electronic displays showing current information about schedules and routes of public transport based on data from the municipal transport and navigation center. Useful for citizens information, for example, about outside air temperature and etc will be also displayed on the screens.

At the moment the contractor sets to software testing required for the functioning of information stands.
