Alexander Mikheev: Krasnodar is one of the safest cities of the country

This was remarked by acting Head of Krasnodar Alexander Mikheev in congratulatory speech on professional holiday of members of Internal Affairs Ministry and veterans of the service during ceremonial meeting in Krasnodar’s directorate of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

— Police of Krasnodar has many important and demanding challenges which you daily face — this is responsible and painstaking work. On this festive day on behalf of all Krasnodar citizens I want to congratulate all the police officers and veterans of the service as well. Thank you for that Krasnodar’ citizens feel safe. The fact that over the years Krasnodar remains one of the safest cities of the country is, first of all, the merit of Krasnodar’s policemen, — Alexander Mikheev said.

In his speech Alexander Mikheev underlined that the solving pressing problems of the police and improvement its material and technical basis have been and remain a top priority for municipal authorities over many years. Acting Head of Krasnodar states that the city administration will continue to render necessary assistance and support to maintain activity of Kuban capital’s police garrison.

Ceremonial event took place in the building of city directorate of Internal Affairs in Krasnodar. The event traditionally gathered chiefs and officers of Krasnodar police garrison, veterans of the service. Police employees were congratulate on their professional holiday by the prosecutor of the city Evgeny Fomenko and Chairman of Krasnodar city public organization of veterans of law enforcement bodies Alexander Abakumov.   

When congratulating personnel on professional holiday Chief of Krasnodar’s directorate Dmitry Ostapenko also noted that according to safety level over recent ten months the city is in top-ten of all municipalities of Krasnodar Region. Dmitry Ostapenko thanked Krasnodar City administration and Krasnodar City Duma for the support and assistance.

— This festive day I express special gratitude to Heads of our veterans’ organizations. Police veterans have a huge mental vocabulary and experience; they render assistance and offer advice on completing tasks with high efficiency, thank them very much, — Dmitry Ostapenko said.

At the ceremony 50 distinguished employees of directorate of Internal Affairs in Krasnodar received certificates of merit and letters of gratitude, 1st degree medals for distinguished service and keepsakes.

Day of employees of Internal Affairs of Russia is celebrated annually on 10 November in accordance with the Decree № 1348 of October 13, 2011of the President of the Russian Federation. Earlier, since 1962 in the country there was the Day of Soviet Militia, then in Russia — the Day of Russian Militia.
