The memorial sign is installed at a house located at the address Lenina Street 44 where academician and rector of Kuban State Agrarian University lived. The ceremony of the plaque opening was participated by Chairman of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly Vladimir Beketov and Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko.
— A year ago Ivan Timofeevich Trubilin left this life. He was a prominent scientist who led Kuban State Agrarian University for the decades. Our agricultural region is proud of the fact that scientist and educator of such a high level lived and worked here. Trubilin went down in history of Kuban as an acknowledged patriarch of agrarian science who created the strong team of lecturers. That’s why graduates of our agrarian university are always highly demanded in the region and outside, — Vladimir Beketov said.
The ceremony of the memorial plaque opening was participated by deputies of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly and Krasnodar City Duma, son of Ivan Trubilin and rector of Kuban State Agrarian University, heads of urban districts of Krasnodar, friends and close associates of the former rector.
— Ivan Trubilin is a person of epoch and epoch making person, big scientist and organizer. During all his life he did a lot of good deeds and passed the baton in the safe hands, — Vera Galushko said.
Today many of Krasnodar citizens came to Lenin Street to attend the opening of the memorial plaque.
Chairman of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly Vladimir Beketov, Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko and rector of Kuban State Agrarian University Alexander Trubilin unveiled the memorial.
At the end of the ceremony participants laid flowers to the memorial sign. There is an inscription on the plaque: “Honourable citizen of Krasnodar, Hero of Socialist Labour, Hero of Labour of Kuban and Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Trubilin Ivan Timofeevich lived in this very house.” The author of the memorial plaque is the Russian sculpturer, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation, member of the Russian Academy of Arts Alexander Apollonov.
Ivan Timofeevich Trubilin worked in various positions in the party, was Chairman of Executive Committee of Regional Council and from 1970 held the post of rector of KubSAU for nearly 40 years. His scientific works and researches are devoted to the problems of organization of agroindustrial production. Ivan Trubilin is author of many text-books and study guides for students and agricultural specialists participating in faculties of advanced training. The former rector of Kuban State Agrarian University — Soviet and Russian organizer of agricultural works, the economist and academician of the All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Lenin and the Russian Academy of Sciences, Hero of Socialist Labour, Hero of Labour of Kuban.
In house at the address Lenina Street 44 Ivan Trubilin lived for 50 years — from 1964 to 2014. Ivan Trubilin died on 8 December 2014.
Krasnodar City Duma has taken the decision to install memorial plaque at the house where Ivan Trubilin lived and also to rename Krasnodar’s 2nd Line Street into the street of a name of academician Trubilin.
