Vladimir Evlanov took part in harvesting wheat in Krasnodar

Head of the capital of Kuban visited one of the fields of experimental and instructional farm “Kuban” of Kuban State Agrarian University where grain crop harvesting is coming to an end. The farm collects 70 centners per hectare – one of the best results throughout Krasnodar Region.

— We are proud that Krasnodar is the only agrarian city in the country and that agrarian sector is successfully developing here. The city has such advanced farms as instructional farm “Kuban” where technologies go hand in hand with the science; it has up-to-date equipment and highly professional and experienced specialists. This provides record indicators in harvesting. For our part we will continue doing everything possible that agrarian sector of Krasnodar feels confident and actively develops, — Vladimir Evlanov said while visiting arable lands of instructional farm.

Director of experimental and instructional farm “Kuban” Timofei Logoida told Vladimir Evlanov about the harvest progress and development of the farm in whole. They discussed the quality of the grown crop and prospect for further development. Timofei Logoida emphasized that his farm is a highly diversified agricultural enterprise – besides agricultural crops growing, it is working in animal breeding and elite seed production.

— In average annually we receive nearly 13 thousand tons of grain. 4 thousand of them go to animal breeding, 2 thousand for seed production and the rest – for sale, — Timofei Logoida said.

During Vladimir Evlanov’s visit new variety of wheat “Adel” was being harvested with one of harvesting machines TUCANO of CLAAS plant. The machine was driven by Andrey Melnik — one of the best combine drivers in the farm. This summer he had harvested over 2260 tons of grain.

Vladimir Evlanov presented him a pennon of the harvest-2016 high performer, thanked for his work and wished to improve enough already high result by the end of harvesting season. Andrey Melnik invited Head of Krasnodar into his driver’s cab and Vladimir Evlanov, taking over the control of the machine, mowed some strips of wheat.

In conclusion Head of the capital of Kuban said thank to managerial staff and the whole collective of instructional farm “Kuban” for efficient work, wished successfully to accomplish the harvest-2016 and carry out all the required preparations to the next sowing season.
