During today’s extended session of Krasnodar City Duma Vladimir Evlanov spoke about tasks concerning public order protection and street crime prevention.
— In well-appointed and comfortable for living city, security and safety of its citizens is of great priority. It concerns both public order maintenance and prevention of emergency situations. The development of municipal “Public Safety Answering Point”, intensifying work of patrol-guard service and local district police chiefs are under special control of municipal authorities. There were substantial positive changes in the past year in this sphere, — Vladimir Evlanov underlined.
The work on upgrading of regional automated system of the centralized notification is being finalized – 90 siren control units were replaced and 42 information transfer units installed in all suburban settlements. As a result, up to 95% of the whole population is covered with notification systems. Vladimir Evlanov affirmed that the work will be completed in 2015.
The quantity of security cameras at Krasnodar streets is ever growing – there are about 700 ones at the moment. Another one hundred cameras are planned to be installed in this year.
In 2014 two new electromobiles have been purchased to enhance the efficiency of patrol duties. Additionally, in January 2015 the city acquired an all-terrain vehicle allowing keeping up a patrol of remote areas of the city quickly and effectively.
Public order in Krasnodar streets is maintained by policemen with the assistance of 300 Cossacks. In 2014 Cossacks participated in solving 24 crimes and making almost 6 thousand administrative protocols.
— Now we continue intensifying patrols, engage volunteers, active young people, students of Krasnodar universities and first of all — cadets of Krasnodar University of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, — Vladimir Evlanov stated.
The city develops community policing service. Additional offices for district police officers are being opened, especially in new microdistricts of the capital of Kuban.
In 2014 district police office to the address Vostochno-Kruglikovskaya Street 22/3 started working. In March 2015 a new police center was opened in Moskovskiy microdistrict.
