In the course of annual report on Krasnodar administration activities in 2014 Vladimir Evlanov talked about sales of products grown in the city suburbs.
— There are two ways to resolve the issue: on the one hand to arrange sales in big supermarket chains and on the other to sell more in open markets and fairs. It is necessary to create logistics centers and warehouses for the provision of supermarket chains and to set additional places in open markets and fairs and install pavilions for agricultural products for the development of retail sales. Local authorities will be working intensively on all these issues, — Vladimir Evlanov stated.
Currently the construction of big logistics and warehouse complex “Kuban gift” is in its final stage in Karasunskiy urban district. The complex is designed for 40 tons of products. Fruits and vegetables will be pre-packed here and then delivered to points of sale. The creation of distribution center of “Tander” company is going on within the territory of 32,5 hectares. Eventually in the near future there will be 4 new modern logistics centers in Krasnodar.
Also Head of Krasnodar set task to expand the net of mini-fairs which will be created all around the city in this spring. Such venues will be reserved only for those people who are marketing their own products. Presently there are five such pavilions in the city.
According to Vladimir Evlanov the sphere of trade and provision of services to people is one of the most important and budget revenue generating branches of Krasnodar’s economy. The past year volume of retail turnover reached 144,4 billion roubles. Compared with 2013 the volume of paid services has raised by 4,3 percent and exceeded 65 billion roubles.
