The measures to support small and medium-sized businesses were discussed at a session of the Council on the development of entrepreneurship in Krasnodar Region, which was held by Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev. The Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov participated in the session.
"Today, 70 per cent of the region's entrepreneurs are engaged in trade and services. By 2030, the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the Gross Regional Product should be raised to 50%. In doing so, it is now necessary to change the very structure of small and medium-sized businesses — 70 per cent of the business sector is currently engaged in trade and services. This is a clear bias toward the "buy-sell", so let's look at other branches of the economy where small and medium businesses can take part. Kuban is the resort region, we have a growing industry, and not just a big business to be involved in this process," said Veniamin Kondratiev.
According to information from the department of economic development, investments and external affairs, there are over 94 thousand small and medium-sized businesses in Krasnodar. The number of employed in the small and medium-sized businesses is over 245 thousand people, this is 40.5% of the population employed in the economy of Krasnodar. In 2017 the Krasnodar Region Guarantee Fund provided 36 guarantees for the amount of 642 million rubles to the city entrepreneurs. It is more than 40 per cent of the total number of guarantees issued in this year in Kuban.
