Hotels of Krasnodar have to undergo classification procedure

This relates to recent changes in federal legislation with regard to the preparation for FIFA World Cup 2018.

— Administration of Krasnodar reminds Krasnodar hotels and other accommodation facilities of the necessity to undergo classification procedure. The hotels classification is a determining of compliance of a certain hotel and its rooms with service criteria and standards. It is the opportunity for hotels to provide to customers necessary information about service quality, infrastructure and capacities. The classification itself makes customers able to evaluate and choose hotels possessing maximally extended information, — a specialist of Krasnodar administration department of economic development, investments and external affairs commented.

Classification of hotels and other accommodation facilities is performed in accordance with order of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation from 11.07.2014 № 1215 “On approval of the procedure for classification of tourism industry objects including hotels and other accommodation facilities, ski trials and beaches which is performed by accredited organizations”.

In line with article 36 of the Federal Act № 108 from June 7, 2013 “On preparing and hosting of FIFA World Cup 2018, FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and making amendments to separate acts of legislature of the Russian Federation”, beginning from July 1, 2016 classification of all hotels and other accommodation facilities situated within the Russian Federation constituent entities where sports events will take place including Krasnodar Region is obligatory.
