Today Moscow holds the German-Russian Forum “German-Russian municipal partnership — from Karlsruhe 2015 to Krasnodar 2017”. The event organizers are the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and the German-Russian Forum. The Forum work is participated by Head of Krasnodar.
The event is participated by representatives of federal government authorities of Russia and Germany, Heads of municipalities of different cities of both countries. In particular, they are Assistant Secretary of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Sergey Ordzhonikidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Federal Republic of Germany to the Russian Federation Rüdiger von Fritsch, Deputy Chairman of German-Russian Forum Professor Wilfried Bergmann, the first Deputy Chairman of the RF Public Chamber Commission on development of social sphere, local self-government and Housing and Public Utilities Artem Kiryanov, Director General of Russian Cities Union Alexander Ignatiev, Kuban Vice-Governor Sergey Altukhov, experts, social activists and entrepreneurs.
The Forum aim is to share experience in different spheres and branches, such as local self-government, interaction of civic societies, business and authorities in Russia and Germany and to work out projects for further cooperation.
Today’s Forum programme includes some sections: “Economics – citizens – administration: vision and practices”, “Memory of the past for the future – contribution of sister cities to culture of remembrance in 2016 and 2017” and “German-Russian partner cities in German-Russian year of the youth exchanges”. In the second half of the day there will be final plenary session.
At the opening Forum Sergey Altukhov welcomed all participants on behalf of Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratiev, told about the region’s experience in cooperation with German companies, in particular he mentioned the construction of the 2nd stage of CLAAS plant. He expressed conviction that new joint projects will be implemented. Sergey Altukhov invited the German guests to participate in the Russian-German sister cities conference which will be held in Krasnodar in 2017.
During the plenary session Vladimir Evlanov will present a report and tell about the experience of more than 20-years sister cities relations and partnerships of Krasnodar and Karlsruhe.
Additionally, within the framework of Forum section “German-Russian partner cities in German-Russian year of the youth exchanges” Chief of Youth department of Krasnodar administration Georgy Pronkin will report on International project “Youth mass open-air holidays and festivals”. Member of board of Karlsruhe-Krasnodar Friendship Association Christa Köhler and its Chairman Herbert Huber will tell about youth projects of Karlsruhe and Krasnodar.
As it has been already reported, in June 2017 Krasnodar will host the 14th conference of German and Russian partner cities. This was announced in Krasnodar City Hall in February 18, 2016 during the meeting of Kuban capital Head Vladimir Evlanov with representatives of German-Russian forum delegation and International Association of Twinned Cities.
