Today a festive program dedicated to World Environment Day celebrated on June 5 was performed in the park.
— A great attention is paid to the questions of environment protection, forming of solicitous attitude to environment and promotion of ecological awareness in Krasnodar. We are carrying out a great work on the development of parks, landscaping, securing borders and naming of green zones, garden squares and boulevards – otherwise it would be impossible to create comfort environment within the city. Chistyakovskaya Grove is a perfect example. Krasnodar citizens lend us an active support in the question. I would like to thank all people who take interest in preservation and augmentation of a green decoration of the city and take part in this work, — Vladimir Evlanov spoke during the event.
Ecological festival gathered several hundreds citizens in the grove including children. Workshops, concerts, thematic games and exhibitions were organized for young visitors at the main grove’s parkway. The department of transport and environment protection, municipal public institution “Monitoring center of the environment and transport” in cooperation with ecological public organizations of the city were organizers of the event.
Chief of MPI “Monitoring center of the environment and transport”, deputy of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly Julia Aleshkevich told Krasnodar Head about each of thematic grounds. Vladimir Evlanov observed children’s painting of eco-bags, doing crafts, planting, composition of bunches with dried flowers, conversed with animators and young citizens.
Environmental-biological center of Krasnodar Region which is situated closely to the grove, organized an exhibition of animal for children: rabbits, turtles, cavies and hamsters were there presented.
As a part of the festival there was an awarding of directors of educational institutions, enterprises and organizations dealing with ecological upbringing and improvement of the city’s environment. Vladimir Evlanov handed them Letters of gratitude.
Creative collectives of Kapanskoy Cultural Center presented their musical performance.
Annually World Environment Day is celebrated around the world on June 5. The Day was declared at 27th session of the UN General Assembly as of December 15, 1972. The day of work starting of Stockholm environment protection conference held on June 5, 1972 was chosen as the date of festival.
