More than twenty representatives of the leading tour operators of the country met in the first Interregional info tour “Krasnodar is Kuban’s soul” which started on March 4.
— The forum is organized for professionals in the sphere of tourism and to elicit our city’s tourist potential to the full extent, to attract specialists from various regions of Russia and to develop the interaction between Krasnodar and other territorial entities of the Russian Federation, — municipal department of economic development, investments and external affairs informed.
More than twenty representatives of tourist industry of Russia from Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Aksay, Togliatti, Taganrog, cities and districts of Krasnodar Region arrived in the capital of Kuban.
According to Deputy Chief of the department of economic development, investments and external affairs Andrey Britchenko, the importance of info tour for professionals of Krasnodar’s tourist industry can hardly be overestimated. The forum is designed to systematize accumulated experience in the sphere of “hospitality industry” and set new business contacts between regions.
The info tour started with walking excursion around historical center of Krasnodar during which guests got aquainted with sights of Kuban capital — Military Cathedral of the Faithful Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky, Catherine the Great monument and visited literature museum of Kukharenko.
Then the forum participants were showed a range of the city’s hotels such as “Genoff”, “Platan”, “Platan Yuzhny”, “Rimar”, hotel complex “Yekaterininskiy” where professionals were able to get to know better with the hotel room capacity and peculiarities of rendered services.
Within the program there was also roundtable: “Hotel and tourist infrastructure of Krasnodar City. Prospects for the development of hospitality sphere.”
On behalf of administration of the capital of Kuban Andrey Britchenko delivered welcome remarks and presentation of regional center’s hotel complex.
The roundtable participants discussed prospects for the development of tourist branch of Krasnodar and Kuban through the example of Hilton Garden Inn Krasnodar and others.
Director General of educational and counseling center “Resort-Consulting” Irina Kolaiko and the chief expert of JSC “All-Russia Scientific Research Institute for Certification” Valentina Kovalevskaya introduced to those present the guidance paper designed to prevent the decline of hotels utilization rate, to increase the quality of services and classification of hotels.
Deputy Chief of municipal department of trade and consumer services Svetlana Kolesnikova presented gastronomic potential of Krasnodar restaurants.
On March 5 the work of info tour continued with the review of hotels Red Royal and Bristol. During the sightseeing bus trip around the city, participants attended JSC Center for Restorative Medicine and Rehabilitation “Krasnodar balneary” where they carried out a tasting of mineral water “Krasnodar-3”. The trip program also includes visiting The City of Sport (Basket Hall and Ice Palace), reviewing the football stadium “Kuban” and stadium of FC Krasnodar which is under construction now, excursion to Krasnodar State Historical and Archaeological Museum of E.D.Felitsyn.
There will be also the second roundtable with representatives of tourist companies of Krasnodar. They will discuss issues of the development of domestic and inbound tourism. It is suggested that at the conclusion of the event the participants will sign agency agreements with Kuban capital administration on further cooperation in tourist sphere.
At the end of info tour the trip around afterdark Krasnodar will happen.
