“ERA-GLONASS” system has passed successful tests in Krasnodar

Krasnodar has become another city of Russia, where operational tests of the state system “ERA-GLONASS” on the base of municipal operations control duty desk took place.

— Infrastructure of the system “ERA-GLONASS” is created in all regions of Russia and will embrace all territory of the country till the end of the year. Tests of interaction with the service “112” conducted in Krasnodar allowed to make an integrated support for questions of interaction with emergency response services. Integration of the system will ensure quickest possible on-site visit of emergency response services, — Vice-president of nonprofit partnership “GLONASS” Natalya Egorova said.

In the course of tests one made a test call in system “ERA-GLONASS” from an automobile equipped with special terminal. Then the system automatically formed a case-record of accident including information about road traffic incident, automobile coordinates, time and precise position of accident and sent it to municipal operations control duty desk. At the same time voice connection with the filtering Call Center “ERA-GLONASS” in Moscow was set up. And after processing of information made by operations control duty desk in Krasnodar, operator called an ambulance crew.

— After putting the system into constant operation the time needed for emergency services to reach the place and render aid to participators of road traffic incident or just involved citizens will be reduced: every call will be transferred directly to operations control duty desk of Krasnodar. Integration of “ERA-GLONASS” system in our city is a long stride in development of “112” service. This will help to reduce response time by several times in severe accidents when it is necessary to involve several rescue services at once, — director of municipal operations control duty desk Mikhail Oliferenko commented.

This very day test for joint work of new innovative equipment and control system of mobile squads (CSMS) took place in police dispatch center in Krasnodar. CSMS has been recently integrated in police of the city.

A driver of equipped vehicle made a call in system “ERA-GLONASS”. Then a case-record was transferred to police dispatch center of the city. On the base of its data duty operator found the nearest to the accident site patrol and sent it instantly to a place of road traffic incident and after 5 minutes this patrol got to the scene.

— Thanks to immediate reporting law-enforcement agencies on an accident, this innovative system will allow to improve significantly the situation regarding registration and rectification of the consequences of road traffic incidence, — chief of Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Krasnodar Oleg Agarkov remarked.

Testing was attended by representatives of state customer of “ERA-GLONASS” system — Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

Up to January 2015 obligatorily all transport vehicles both import and home-produced ones at the territory of European Customs Union will be equipped with “ERA-GLONASS” system.
