Vladimir Evlanov: Works of craftspeople speak of the attachment to Krasnodar

Today Head of Krasnodar together with temporary acting Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev, Chairman of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly Vladimir Beketov and Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko participated in the opening of the third exhibition fair “Kuban arts and crafts” which took place on the Cathedral Square of regional center. The city and regional chief executives had a look at products of local craftspeople.

— For the third consecutive year the exhibition fair is held on the initiative of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly and year by year it takes more and more interest. There is so much to see here given that Kuban has rich artistic traditions and a variety of well-developed applied crafts. Such exhibitions are obviously needed and interesting for both craftspeople and a wide range of visitors. Presented here works of our craftspeople speak of their attachment to our native city, of the desire to make our lives better and more beautiful, — Vladimir Evlanov marked.

This year the exhibition gathered 340 Kuban craftspeople. Besides them handymen of Crimea, Stavropol Region and Yaroslavl came to Krasnodar to show their wares. 100 handymen participating in the exhibition fair are from Krasnodar.

— Our city has rich artistic traditions and much has been done here for the support of craftspeople. We have developed virtually all applied crafts: ceramics, woodcutting, embroidery, forging, embossed work and other. At that, products of Krasnodar craftspeople have their own inimitative style, — Krasnodar’s Head said.

For five years the capital of Kuban organizes the exhibition “Krasnodar souvenir” on Krasnaya Street that is participated by nearly 200 craftspeople representing five non-governmental organizations.
