Large-scale works on sanitary cleanup and improvement of urban lands were organized today in the capital of Kuban. Particular attention was given to parks, garden squares and territories adjacent to memorial complexes and monuments devoted to the Great Patriotic War.
— After winter season we continue the started in March work on imposing sanitary order in the city in order to bring it into an exemplary condition until the end of April. Disregarding weather conditions, works started today all around the city. Besides representatives of power bodies who traditionally take part in All-Kuban volunteer Saturday cleanup, Krasnodar citizens also joined the sanitary work. I’m thankful to everyone who responded to the appeal. It's one thing to complaint and another to assist in the work on creation of comfort urban environment. Authorities and citizens should work together, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
All-Kuban volunteer Saturday cleanup gathered over 140 thousand participants in Krasnodar. It was organized as part of two-month marathon on imposing sanitary order and urban territories improvement.
The main work was carried out in parks, garden squares, on territories adjacent to the houses, graveyards, along Kuban River embankment, within territories of Krasnodar enterprises.
Vladimir Evlanov took part in improvement of memorial complex to General Kornilov and Cossacks died in years of civil war. The complex is situated near the entrance to the city from the direction of Elizavetinskaya village. Presently the next stage of beautification works are being carried out here — forming walking paths near the square in front of monument to Kornilov, preparing base for grass lawn, planting trees.
Walking paths with a total area of 1000 square meters have been paved with a slab by now. Together with the section paved earlier, the total area of paved territory around the memorial complex is nearly 3000 square meters.
Municipal public institution “Krasnodar center for landscaping” has already proceeded to planting of broadleaved and coniferous trees, including maples, pinetrees and fir-trees. Over 30 broadleaved ones have been already planted. Vladimir Evlanov and his deputy Evgeny Pervyshov planted some trees.
— The place is becoming a landmark one for the city, important events take place here. It generates keen interest of ordinary citizens and guests of Krasnodar. Local residents will surely gladly welcome the appearance of such well arranged green area. Therefore we should continue its development, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
