The performed comparative analysis of social and economic development of the largest cities of the SFD in period January-March 2015 showed that Krasnodar is ahead of other capital cities of the SFD regions by 14 out of 31 indicators of social and economic development.
— Comparative analysis is held as part of information exchange organized between capital cities of the Southern Federal District regions. The analysis gives information on competitiveness of Krasnodar’s economy and its efficiency. Besides that it allows estimating the position of Krasnodar in comparison with other big cities of the SFD. By the results of first three months of 2015 the capital of Kuban has demonstrated growth in many spheres and continues to lead for most indicators of social and economic development in the SFD, — one in the department of economic development, investments and external affairs commented.
Comparative analysis of the main indicators of socioeconomic development of Krasnodar and other administrative centers of the Southern Federal District of Russia: Rostov-on-Don, Maikop, Volgograd, Elista and Astrakhan is made by the municipal department of economic development, investments and external affairs once every three months. Data of Federal State Statistics Service (FSSS) are taken as a basis for the work. Estimation is made by 31 indicators.
Particularly, Krasnodar is first in terms of the local budget revenues — over 4,3 billion roubles in January-March 2015 (Volgograd goes second — 3,2 billion roubles for the same period), in terms of retail trade turnover among large and medium-sized businesses of all forms of activity which reached 34,5 billion roubles (Rostov-on-Don is second with indicator 33,5 billion roubles), in terms of commissioning of residential houses from all funding sources (over 611 thousand square meters for three months) and a quantity of commissioned houses per one thousand citizens — 666,2 square meters. In these categories Rostov-on-Don is in the second position too having 234 thousand square meters totally commissioned and 209,8 square meters per thousand citizens.
Krasnodar still has the lowest unemployment level — 0,3% (the second city is Rostov-on-Don with 0,46%) and the highest average monthly salary at large and medium-sized enterprises — over 36 thousand roubles.
According to the findings of social and economic analysis made among the Southern Federal District capital cities for the period January-March 2015 Volgograd leads in 7 categories, Astrakhan in 5 categories, Maikop in 3 categories, Rostov-on-Don and Elista are first in 1 out of 31 categories.
Comparative analysis has been carried out by specialists of Krasnodar administration since 1998. Performance evaluation of social and economic spheres in Krasnodar is made in comparison with other capital cities of the SFD: Rostov, Astrakhan, Volgograd Regions, the Republic of Kalmykia and the Republic of Adygeya. Findings for the research have been provided by territorial bodies of Federal State Statistics Service in all constituent entities of the Southern Federal District.
