Evgeny Pervyshov held an urgent meeting of Krasnodar Anti-Terrorist Commission

In connection with today's explosion in St. Petersburg's subway, Head of Krasnodar expressed condolences to those who had lost their loved ones. The participants of the City Anti-Terrorist Commission (ATC) discussed additional security and anti-terrorist protection measures, particularly in the transport infrastructure.

— In the current situation, the resistance to terror is particularly important. In line with the words of support to all those who suffered in Saint Petersburg and condolences to the families of the victims, we must make every effort to prevent any recurrence of the tragic events. In conjunction with law enforcement agencies, we need to intensify the access control at the transport facilities. Additional measures should also be taken to protect railways and bus stations, the airport. The strengthening of security measures must be implemented rigorously, — Evgeny Pervyshov said.

The meeting of the ATC was attended by Chairwoman of the City Duma of Krasnodar Vera Galushko, Deputy Heads of Krasnodar, the city's public prosecutor Evgeny Fomenko, Chief of the police of Krasnodar Dmitry Ostapenko, Deputy Chief of the transport police of Krasnodar Oleg Vorobey, Heads and Chiefs of the security services of Krasnodar railway stations and the airport, Chiefs of the city administration structural subdivisions, Heads of urban district administrations.

— It is important that all residents of the city to remain vigilant and immediately to inform police about all suspicious objects and people, — Dimitry Ostapenko said.

Dmitry Ostapenko highlighted that the city had tightened the access control in the airport, railway and bus stations, and that the passengers, their carry-on baggage and luggage are being thoroughly inspected using special control equipment and sniffer dogs. The functioning of the systems of video surveillance, communications is being monitored, and additional training sessions to prevent unauthorized access to transport infrastructure facilities are held.

— Our task is to prevent any illegal acts in the city. Any inattention and formality in approach to the work are totally unacceptable, because the price is people's lives.  We must do everything possible to ensure favourable situation in the city and the safety of citizens to the full extent, — Evgeny Pervyshov said.
