For the first time ever Krasnodar presents information and art book “Krasnodar travel guide” in the award “Crystal compass”.
— The book involves unique materials about history and culture of the city. Description of all objects included in the book is given in Russian and English. At that, illustrated materials can not be only seen, but touched too. First broadsides of each section of the book are created with the use of 3D lacquer. The autumn foliage, water jets, domes of temples, road pebble and other elements project above the paper surface. Thanks to the effect every reader can imagine the space of the city districts shown in the book better, — specialists of municipal department of economic development, investments and external affairs commented.
The book includes sections: “Architecture”, “Memorials, monuments, sculptures”, “Theatres and museums”, “Temples”, “Fountains”, “Parks”, “Excursion into the history”.
The project goal is to promote historical and cultural heritage and tourist potential of the city, information support of long-term growth strategy for the capital of Krasnodar Region.
The book is distributed in such forums and exhibitions as: International exhibition of commercial real estate EXPO REAL held in Germany, Munich in 2013 and 2014, International exhibition “Offerta” held in Germany, Karlsruhe in 2013 and 2014, International tourist exhibition “Travel and tourism” Mitt held in Moscow in 2013 and 2014, International tourist exhibition Inturmarket held in Moscow in 2013 and 2014, International economic forum held in Sochi in 2013 and 2014, International exhibition “Sitt/TourSib” in Novorossiysk in 2014 and also during reception of delegations of foreign states, regions and cities of Russia which took place in Krasnodar.
“Crystal compass” — the first award in the area of national geography, ecology, preservation and promotion of natural, historical and cultural heritage of Russia.
Official start of the project was given on November 16, 2012 in Krasnodar.
The award organizers are Krasnodar regional division of Russian Geographical Society and corporate association “Gazprom at Kuban”.
The jury includes well-known scientists, public figures, representatives of business community and state bodies of Russia and Kuban: Vladimir Kotlyarov, Artur Chilingarov, Yuri Vorobiev, Nikolay Drozdov, Alexander Frolov, Oleg Aksyutin, Victor Savinykh, Anastasia Chernobrovina, Vitaly Sundakov, Yuri Efremov, Sergey Dudko and others.
