Over nine months of 2017 enterprises of agroindustrial complex of Krasnodar made production for 32 billion rubles

The preliminary results of the agroindustrial complex this year were summed up during the operational meeting in the city administration. It was held by the Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov.

"In the conditions of imports phase-out, agricultural production and processing industry are developing at a good rate. This is our perspective, our development, including stable tax revenues for the consolidated budget and new jobs. It is important that we continue to provide as much assistance as possible for the development of Krasnodar companies, the creation of new factories and processing enterprises," said Evgeny Pervyshov.

According to the Deputy Chief of the department of agriculture Grigory Slyusarenko, for the nine months in the current year the city's agroindustrial complex manufactured products and services for 32 billion rubles, of which food and processing Industry made 25 billion rubles, agricultural production — 7 billion rubles.

This year, over 79 thousand  tons of grain have been collected from the area of almost 12 thousand hectares. That is by 9 thousand tons of grain more than in 2016. The average yield of cereal crops was 66,3 centners per hectare. The highest grain yield was obtained in the Kuban experimental farm of Kuban State Agrarian University — 82.1 centners per hectare.

The harvesting of technical, vegetable and fruit crops is still under way. Sunflower seeds collected — 9.5 th. tonnes with an average yield 26 dt per 1 ha. The gross harvest of corn kernels — 17 th. tonnes, which is by 6.6 thousand more than last year. This year, soybeans have been collected in the amount of the last year — more than 3 th. tonnes.

As Gregory Slyusarenko told, in the past five years the production of fruits and berries has increased significantly in Krasnodar — from 22.1 th. tonnes in 2013 to 39.2 th. tonnes in 2016. New intensive gardens are being planted every year. In three to five years they will allow the production of fruits to be increased by a further 4-5 thousand tonnes per year.

At present time, fruit collection continues in the horticultural farms at the suburbs. It is expected that their gross collection will not be lower than last year. Also vegetable harvest increase of 2 000 tonnes compared to the last year is expected.

In addition, a positive dynamics in the nine months of the current year is noted by specialists in the production of livestock products: cattle and birds, milk, eggs.
