Today at the territory of Krasnodar hippodrome annual regional agroindustrial exhibition starts working. Nearly 1000 enterprises of regional agroindustrial complex including 63 small business enterprises of the sector from Krasnodar presented their goods. Kuban Governor Alexander Tkachev and Head of regional center Vladimir Evlanov took part in the opening ceremony.
— Kuban fair is subject of our special pride. Exhibition may be young but it has already established own traditions. The project has become possible thanks to all people who work on land, put their hearts into own production, make Kuban a breadbasket of Russia and supplier of quality food. And we shouldn’t reduce the established level! To a large extent such projects contribute to the promotion of Kuban products in other regions. The more especially as in the situation of sanctions we have to double, triple supplies of agricultural products to shopboards of our country. We possess a high potential for the purpose, — Alexander Tkachev said.
Kuban fair occurs in Krasnodar for the fourth time. The opening ceremony was also participated by Chairman of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly Vladimir Beketov, Kuban Vice-Governor, Minister for Agriculture and Processing Industry of Krasnodar Region Sergey Garkusha, Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Krasnodar Region Yuri Tkachenko.
In pavilion of food products Alexander Tkachev and Vladimir Evlanov paid attention to a new technological line for jams production. An exhibition sample was made by members of the Institute of Food and Processing Industry of Kuban State Technological University in a single original; it implements automatically all operations in jam production — from washing and processing of fruits to getting finished product in a can. Cost of the machine is about 1 million roubles.
Such a line can be applicable in small enterprises that are specialized in the production of fruits and vegetables. It is notable that either can be used as a raw material — for example apples, oranges, pears, lemons, carrots, — representatives of the institute explained.
Vladimir Evlanov also acquainted with stands of Krasnodar small enterprises presented at the exhibition. This year agricultural fair comprises 63 participants from Krasnodar, among them 15 in a cluster “Food products” and 11 in “Horticulture, viticulture, apiculture and flower industry”.
— Krasnodar is the only agricultural city in the country; our agricultural production is on the advanced positions. So it is significant that the tradition to hold agricultural fairs has established. It expands from year to year. The number of participants as well as fair guests is ever growing. Everyone comes here with good mood and it transmits all around. Looking at such abundance you see that agricultural producers have results to surprise and to be proud of and the main fact — we have reserves for import substitution. Exhibitions of animal and fish breeding are most impressive. These are the sectors products of which are highly in demand in the city and the whole region as well. This production takes on particular significance in the context of introduced sanctions. So we have to keep on creation of favourable conditions in order small agri-businesses successfully to develop, adopt new technologies and expand the range of their quality goods, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
The total area of agroindustrial exhibition is about 14 thousand square meters. It takes 8 pavilions and is divided into 6 clusters: “Animal breeding”, “Horticulture, viticulture, apiculture and flower industry”, “Crop farming”, “Food products”, “Fish breeding” and “Folk craftwork items”.
Annual agroindustrial exhibition Kuban fair with participation of small farmings has been held since 2011 in accordance with the order of Krasnodar Region Governor.
