Today there was official opening of sculpture composition “A link between generations” in the vicinity of school №48 in Postovaya Street. The event was participated by Krasnodar Head Vladimir Evlanov and Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko, cadets of Krasnodar Presidential cadet school, veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
— Today we open one more new sculpture composition that will become not only an adornment of the city but also a meaningful thing. This is a special year; year of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. For this year we have opened several monuments and memorial signs, reconstructed and repaired dozens of memorials. In continuation of patriotic marathon which takes place in Krasnodar in the course of 2015 we open a new sculpture composition “A link between generations”, — Vladimir Evlanov remarked.
The composition consists of three figures: a veteran, girl sitting on a bench by him and cadet who stands near them. The pedestal is made of granite while sculptures themselves made of classic casting bronze. All the figures are maximally realistic and made at scale one-to-one.
— This is symbolic that today four generations of Krasnodar citizens are present here. This fact as well as new monument itself does prove the continuity of generations. It proves that our city holds the memory of the Great Patriotic War heroes sacred. Our young generation is eager to deserve their feat, — Vera Galushko emphasized.
Vladimir Evlanov, Vera Galushko and young cadet Nikita Kononov cut the ribbon and opened the new sculpture composition. After that all people who came were able to take photos against new sight.
