At the present time call center of a new municipal establishment the activity of which aims at the development of mass and event tourism in the capital of Kuban starts working in test mode. The opening is planned for January 2017.
— This will become the first establishment of a kind in Krasnodar Region. Municipal tourist-information center is aimed at providing quality tourist services to the Russian and foreign citizens who visit Krasnodar. The center will contribute to the creating of favourable conditions for tourism development. Particularly, TIC will inform and consult the guests of regional center, promote the tourist potential of Krasnodar at the domestic and international tourist services market. Eventually, the center will have a positive impact on the city image and raise its tourist attractiveness, — Deputy Director of the department of economic development, investments and external affairs Andrey Britchenko said.
The decision to create municipal budgetary establishment “Tourist-information center” (TIC) in Krasnodar was taken at the 24th session of Krasnodar City Duma on October 20. The new structure will render a wide range of services on accompanying and informing guests of the city on any issues related to their staying in Krasnodar and also organize guided tours around the capital of Kuban.
According to Andrey Britchenko at the present moment future establishment undergoes the procedure of registration in tax and other agencies. It is planned that TIC will officially start working in January 2017. However, citizens can already contact the call center that works in test mode by the phone number: +7 (861) 2189777 and obtain advice on questions related to staying and housing in the city, available tourist services and also make recommendations and suggestions.
The center will be occupied with the collecting, processing, keeping, renewing and distributing information about tourist resources of Krasnodar, Krasnodar Region and other Russian regions. Specialists will study and adopt foreign experience in the sphere, conduct newsworthy and exhibition arrangements, organize tours around the city for any category of excursionists including physically disabled citizens, provide excursion support to the official Russian and foreign delegations etc.
Specialists of the department of economic development, investments and external affairs underlined that the services will be available both in Russian and foreign languages directly within establishment by an information desk, by phone, though the internet web-site and via email.
Future Center will also distribute image and informational printed and electronic publications about Krasnodar (booklets, maps, leaflets, disks and other information materials), promote and operate special municipal tourist information website, update the website’s versions in foreign languages.
Along with that, tourist-information center will organize and conduct walking, bus, individual and group tours around Krasnodar.
