In the regional center during the city competition, organised by the department of economic development, investments and external affairs, the jury will choose the best tour guide, travel manager and receptionist. Today tour guides competed for the title of the best one.
"The contest is aimed at promotion of tourist potential of the Kuban capital, increase the quality of tourist services for visitors. It pleases that every year the level of professional skills grows, new and interesting contest categories appear, there is a growing interest among young professionals for the contest," said the deputy director of the department of economic development, investments and external affairs Andrey Britchenko.
On the first day of the contest 5 people strove for victory in the category "Best tour guide". They are: Daria Glesser, Elena Skripnikova, Sofia Gorelik, Vladimir Kondusov and Sergey Deyko.
The jury included employees of the city administration, representatives of the Kuban State University department of international tourism and management as well as heads of leading enterprises and tourist organisations of the regional capital.
Accompanied by guides - participants, the contest committee visited several sites of tourism interest. Among the sites were unique historic building at the corner of Krasnaya and Gimnazicheskaya streets, the monument to Alexander Suvorov, the Krasnodar balneary, the building of synagogue and other objects.
All of the sites had been chosen by the competitors at their sole discretion, most importantly is that the places should be interesting and located on the territory of Krasnodar.
