Following the results of three days work at International Investment Forum “Sochi-2016” the delegation of Krasnodar concluded agreements on implementation of investment projects in various spheres of economy and conducted a range of important negotiations with potential domestic and foreign investors.
— As it was in previous years, during investment Forum in Sochi Krasnodar has concluded a number of strategically significant investment agreements. It's worth to remark that the projects relate to engineering infrastructure and industrial sector which are necessary for the progressive development of the city. A number of projects target consumer market — some foreign and domestic retailers declared intention to expand their presence in Krasnodar. It is also important that all the projects are quite realistic and will be implemented in the coming years. It means that over the near term our city receives hundreds new jobs and an increase of tax payments in local budget, — acting Head of Krasnodar, head of Krasnodar’s delegation at the Forum, Alexander Mikheev said.
This year the most significant contracts signed at the Forum relate to modernization and development of engineering infrastructure of the city. In particular, within following three years joint-stock company “Autonomous Heat and Power Company” will invest almost 5,5 billion roubles in reconditioning and development of heat economy of Krasnodar — boiler stations and utility networks. Implementation of the project allows improving quality of heat and hot-water supply for consumers at the territory of Krasnodar.
The biggest electric network company in Krasnodar Region and the Republic of Adygeya — “Kubanenergo” concluded a contract which provides the reconstruction of 11 biggest power-feeding stations in Krasnodar until the end 2017. This will allow an increase of transformer capacity of those stations and connect new consumers. Besides that, it is planned to build high-voltage power transmission lines and underground power cables.
In agriculture and processing there is an agreement with joint-stock company “Agrocomplex”. The firm will provide 500 mln roubles to develop and modernize Krasnodar poultry farm in Loris suburban hamlet. In the recent past this poultry farm was stopped and underwent bankruptcy procedure. Investments will rekindle the former strength of the farm and make it the largest enterprise in the segment not only in Krasnodar Region, but in the south of the country as well.
Tourist industry is also evolving in Krasnodar. By 2018 group of companies “ABA” will build club apartment complex and business class hotel “President” with its own inner infrastructure. The project investments are nearly 2 billion roubles.
There is also a range of agreements concerning consumer market. One of them was signed with METRO Cash & Carry Company which is to start the construction of its third shopping center within the area of Krasnodar. Total amount of the project investments will amount to 20 mln euros.
The French company Leroy Merlin is ready to construct its second center in Krasnodar.
The third part of Krasnodar’s investment portfolio includes projects in the sphere of residential construction. Five agreements on building new residential complexes to the total value of more than 15 bln roubles were signed at the Forum.
Similarly as in previous years, Krasnodar presentation attracted attention of the guests and participants of the Forum. Particularly, on the first Forum day investment potential of Krasnodar was estimated by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak. He walked around Krasnodar exposition together with Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev.
Along with that, Alexander Mikheev conducted over 30 meetings and talks about possible cooperation with domestic and foreign businesses, representative structures and non-commercial entities. One of the meetings was with representatives of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in Southern Federal District.
There was also meeting with American Company Air Products specializing in the production of industrial gases.
It is to be recalled, the XV Investment Forum in Sochi was held from 29 September to 2 October. The third time it took place in the main media center of Olympic park in Imereti lowland. And for the first time the Forum was organized and held by the biggest in Russia operator of congress and exhibition events — “ROSCONGRESS” FUND.
Key event of the Forum business programme was plenary session on the theme “A new quality of state administration: projects for growth, projects for life” during which there was a speech of Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
Krasnodar takes part in International Investment Forum “Sochi” every year beginning from 2002 – the first year of the Forum.
