The formal award ceremony for the prize of Krasnodar’s Head took place in administration of the capital of Kuban.
— Every year we try to expand the nomination sheet to cover as more as possible talented young people engaged in various spheres of the city life. The distinctive characteristic of our Krasnodar youth today is not only social activity but also the readiness to be first to come to help in a uneasy time as volunteers and the skillfulness to find creative solution to any most difficult task. Yearly the city administration finds a way to improve financial aspect of the prize, — Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma stated in her welcoming speech.
In 2015, 36 boys and girls became holders of the award in 9 nominations. Among awardees are young scientists of Krasnodar universities and inventors.
Head foreman of “Southern Regional Construction Company” Oleg Shevtsov developed and introduced a new technology of solar light system Solatube for transmitting natural light to ground floors of high-rise buildings. Engineer-constructor of the 3rd category of Krasnodar instrument-making plant “Cascade” Stanislav Mishin participated in development and launching of a new production-line product designed for needs of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.
Award holders’ schoolmasters, friends and relatives came to share the joy. Award of Europe Judo Cup prize winner Margarita Shreiner was given to her grandmother Tatiana Popylkina. This very moment sportswoman herself is competing at European Championship in Bulgaria. Diploma and award of another member of the Russian national team acrobat Igor Mishev were presented his trainer Vitaly Shulga.
In reply, young talents told about their aims and targets. Vyacheslav Vasyanin — organizer, active participant and volunteer of 26 actions, municipal and regional contests declared his intention to become the deputy of Krasnodar City Duma. Julia Adonieva — program director of “School of camp leaders” told about projects of municipal youth center “Dubrava”.
— You have deserved the right to be winners through your labour. Symbolically, your personal win and your achievements met with recognition in a remarkable year for all our country, in year of the 70th anniversary of Soviet people’s Victory in the Great Patriotic War. And now the main thing is to stay strong in the pursuit of your goals, to have good intentions and be able to be useful, — Deputy Head of Krasnodar Tatiana Sinyugina addressed awardees.
More than 213 thousand young people aged from 14 to 30 live in Krasnodar. Krasnodar’s Mayor award for young talents was established in 2006. Over thousand people took part in a competitive selection for the prize. During this time over 500 young Krasnodar citizens received the award.
