The Western urban district Head visited Honorary citizens of the regional center -the defender of Pashkovskaya river crossing Sergei Drobyazko and a participant of the first Victory Parade in 1945 Nikolai Legkov. Alexander Kuchmin presented veterans with commemorative awards, flowers and gifts, and congratulated on the upcoming 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The solemn event was held on January 23 in the park of the 30th anniversary of the Victory on the square in front of Exhibition hall of Military Glory. This year it is dedicated to the opening of the Year of memory and glory in Krasnodar and the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Also on this day, the all-Russian memorial event of Blockade Bread, dedicated to the day of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi occupation, was launched in the regional center. The event was attended by the Chairwoman of the City Duma Vera Galushko, Vice Mayor of Krasnodar Alexei Udovenko, Head of the regional security department of the Krasnodar Region administration Evgeny Chuprov.

A grand passing of the parade squads, military and retro-equipment dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place on Theatre Square. The celebration was attended by the Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Region Yuri Burlachko and the Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov.

Ceremonial passing of the parade units, military equipment and machinery devoted to the celebration of the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place in the main square of the capital of Kuban. The parade was attended by Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev and Head of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov.

By tradition, Victory Day celebration began with the ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers to the Eternal Flame and monuments to the heroes and participants of the Great Patriotic War.

Today nearly 75 thousands citizens walked the main street of the capital of Kuban bearing portraits of their relatives who had contributed to the Great Victory. The participants of annual patriotic action devoted to May 9 were greeted by Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev and Head of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov.

Traditionally in the capital of Kuban the Victory Day celebrations started from the ceremony of flowers laying to the Eternal Flame and monuments devoted to heroes and participants of the Great Patriotic War.
