Today the capital of Kuban hosts business forum organized by media holding “Expert”. It is participated by nearly 300 representatives of large and medium-sized businesses, administrations of cities and regions of southern Russia, analysts and experts. The opening ceremony took place in conference room of Galich Hall.
— Krasnodar is for the fifth time hosting International forum of the largest companies of Southern Federal District. This is undoubtedly prominent for us that the forum stays in our city and yearly here we have the possibility to discuss current economic processes in the country and region with the largest companies of Russian South. Current economic situation introduces new challenges for enterprises of the region and city. In these circumstances it is very important to understand how we should build the cooperation between authorities and business and what our mutual economic expectations are. Certainly, issues raised at the forum in this year are topical not only for our region, but others too. I hope that our common efforts will continue to support the development of region and city’s economy, all forms of business, remove constraints and together solve other questions raised in economic field, — Vladimir Evlanov addressed the forum participants.
The present forum issue is “Challenges of domestic market”. Its organizers are media holding Expert, Expert-Yug magazine and Krasnodar City administration with assistance of Krasnodar Region administration. Non-governmental organization of small and medium-sized businesses “OPORA RUSSIA” and Strategic Initiative Agency are also among organizers.
As in previous year the forum has gathered chiefs of the largest companies of Russian South, representatives of executive and legislative bodies, business associations.
In the course of opening ceremony CEO of rating agency Expert RA Dmitry Grishankov also addressed the participants and guests of the forum.
— It has already become our tradition to meet in Krasnodar in this time of the year in order to sum up the results of annual rating of top enterprises of the South of the country — “Expert Yug-250”. One might say that it is younger brother of our main rating of the largest Russian companies “Expert-400”. This year we can see that indicators of the South are better than in the country in whole. If 400 largest domestic companies show growth near at the level 10%, then southern enterprises demonstrate 17% growth. This is a good characteristic for the whole Southern Federal District, and in particular, Krasnodar Region, — Dmitry Grishankov said.
Also CEO of rating agency Expert RA Dmitry Grishankov marked that positive changes are happening in the capital of Kuban.
— Recently I’ve heard a joke: 95% of Russian citizens live under pressure and the rest 5% live in Krasnodar. And judging by the development of city’s industry and infrastructure it is close to the truth, — Dmitry Grishankov said.
Talking about issues of VIII International forum of the largest companies of SFD Dmitry Grishankov has drawn attention to a number of current trends in Russian economy.
— 2008 crisis is not over yet and probably will not be simply gone. There are particular market’s challenges which are now superimposed by international environment. And today’s forum is to answer the most pressing issues: why not all but just a few signed investment agreements come to implementation, what keeps them down and what are the resources of import submission, how business can most efficiently use opportunities opened up in the current economic environment, in situation of imposed sanctions on our country, — Dmitry Grishankov gave a summary of the issue.
