Vladimir Evlanov accepted the offer of Kuban Governor to run for deputy of the RF State Duma

Today during a working meeting with Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev Mayor of Krasnodar reported on the intention to run as a candidate for the State Duma elections.

— I pondered on your offer, weighed all pros and contras, and now I can say in my responsibility that I’m ready to run for a seat in the State Duma elections. Over 12 years of the city management I’ve always tried to bring something new in its development. The city itself has achieved significant success. I guess that I will work for the benefit of Krasnodar and its citizens in the following, — Vladimir Evlanov said.

The meeting took place in Krasnodar Region administration Head’s office.

— As I think at the federal level there is a deficit of such lobbyists who live Krasnodar and Krasnodar Region and are not indifferent to what Kuban we will leave to the future generations. You keep Krasnodar in your heart and the city will always be within your attention. Together with you we will do much more for the capital of Kuban and its people, — Veniamin Kondratiev said.

Speaking about objectives of the city and region representative in the highest legislative body of the Russian Federation Vladimir Evlanov emphasized that Krasnodar is a big city where still there are many problems which cannot be solved at the municipal level only. The city needs major lobby at the federal level to back its position and interests. Particularly — to facilitate the capital of Kuban inclusion in various state programmes. This way the city can receive financing from the federal budget for the development of social sphere, engineering, road and transport infrastructure, urban land improvements.

At that Vladimir Evlanov added that at the present time being Head of Krasnodar he continues to work hardly and fulfill missions set by Krasnodar population before the authorities.

— I have already noticed my team that there must be no letdown or reduction in intensity of work and that we will continue doing our job most effectively and responsibly, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
