There was a plenary meeting on “The capacity of import submission and government support: business view” held in the course of the seventh Forum of small and medium-sized businesses “Krasnodar is a business-friendly city”. The meeting was participated by the city Head Vladimir Evlanov.
— As a rule small enterprises carry out flexible policy and have a sense of sound risk. Such characteristics are of particular importance for success under the competitive climate. Besides that, in order to get through and stay on the market the majority of business structures of the production sphere connect their core activity with implementing innovations, scientific and technical developments. This is the most important factor in the modern environment because it is impossible to ensure competitiveness on the market without such efforts, — Vladimir Evlanov marked in his speech.
He reported that at the moment Krasnodar small enterprises are supported by five technoparks which assist them in the development and adoption of new technologies into production. Vladimir Evlanov also mentioned that in future such a park will be created at the territory of Eastern Industrial Zone.
According to the city Head, this would lead not only to the stimulation of industrial complex development but also to the creation of conditions for the development of big, medium and small-sized businesses, attraction of investments and advanced production technologies, organizing nearly 13 thousand new high-performance workplaces.
The work of plenary meeting was also participated by Minister of Economic Affairs of Krasnodar Region Igor Galas, Chairman of Krasnodar regional division of non-governmental organization “OPORA Russia” Daniel Bashmakov, Director of the department of economic development, investments and external affairs Elena Vasilchenko, Director of branch “South” of X5 Retail Group N.V. (retail chains “Pyaterocka”, “Perekrestok”, “Karusel”) Gennady Taran and others. CEO and editor-in-chief of magazine “Expert Yug” Vladimir Kozlov moderated the meeting.
In his speech Igor Galas sated that small and medium-sized businesses are chiefly suffering during the crisis and particularly this segment of economy is in need of extensive support. Minister of Economic Affairs mentioned the construction sphere and consumer market among branches that are mostly exposed to a negative impact of crisis.
— Mighty construction complex has already endured the crisis. Though in the first quarter of 2015 Krasnodar Region was leader of Russia in volume of residential square meters introduced into service, all of these projects had been started before the crisis. Here there can be such solutions as support and development of mortgage lending. As to consumer market — it has been always “the growth driver” of regional economy. This relates to Krasnodar too, where trade and public catering system are well developed. Reduction of consumer demand is what we have now in the capital of Kuban, — Igor Galas said.
Minister of Economic Affairs concluded his speech with a story about substantive measures of support of small and medium-sized businesses given within a framework of ongoing anti-crisis program of regional authorities.
Gennady Taran called on business representatives to make import submission more “realistic”. When telling about how things are going on in trade sphere he emphasized that in recent months the share of local producers on the shelves of hypermarkets in Krasnodar and Rostov Regions has significantly increased.
— It is very important that in the conditions of crisis domestic producers receive additional opportunities for implementation of the development program for their enterprises. One can frequently hear complaints from producers that their goods do not reach the shelves. I would like to note — those enterprises and heads that readily rearrange themselves, actively take care of marketing and think of how to make their goods better in the ratio price/quality are always ahead of those ones who only complain about crisis, — Gennady Taran said.
The meeting concluded with an awarding ceremony of the best medium-sized companies of the region.
