The results achieved in various economic branches of the capital of Kuban were talked about at the 58th session of Board of Directors on a voluntary basis chaired today by Vladimir Evlanov. Mayor estimated the previous year economic situation as stable.
— The past year we made progress almost in all branches. The output sector, construction sphere and trade demonstrated good growth. Diversified economy of Krasnodar and well-developed small and medium-sized businesses are our strength. Over the last year industry is also actively developing as well as agroindustrial complex has good potential. Positive dynamics in all these directions was maintained in 2014. We intend to use all these advantages in that economically uneasy period of time, — Vladimir Evlanov said when opening the meeting.
The 58th session of Board of Directors took place in municipal concert hall. It was participated by Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko, Deputy Head of Krasnodar, Director of the department of finances Alexander Mikheev, Heads of urban districts administrations, chiefs of enterprises, establishments and organizations of the city.
Vladimir Evlanov made a report on economic results of 2014. He detailed about achievements in real sector of economy, things done in social sphere, development of road infrastructure and public transport, continuation of work on creation of single architectural style in the capital of Kuban.
Delivering the report Head of Krasnodar presented the totals in branches. At that he emphasized that for the last three years in rating of 250 largest industrial cities of Russia Krasnodar has moved up 21 levels and now takes the 40th place overtaking such big industrial centers as Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk. The output of large and medium-sized industrial enterprises of regional center reached 238 billion roubles in 2014 that is higher by 12% than the level of 2013.
Dynamics of growth is to a large extent defined by large and medium-sized enterprises engaged in processing industries. In the last year they produced goods and rendered services to the amount of nearly 160 billion roubles (more than the previous year’s level by 19%).
In 2014 the greatest growth has been achieved in food production, including the production of drinks and tobacco (by 27%), wood processing and woodwork production (by 20%), the production of petroleum products (by 30%), chemicals production (by 1,8 times).
Enterprises occupied in the sphere of production and distribution of electric power, gas and water, outputted to the amount of 76 billion roubles that is practically the same level as in 2013.
A little reduction is marked in mineral production sphere. Large and medium-sized enterprises shipped products for the value of 1,5 billion roubles, or by 6,8% lower than the level of 2013.
Vladimir Evlanov noted that Krasnodar industrial enterprises are upgrading the existing production processes and developing new products types which will be able to compete in domestic and external markets.
— The city economy needs recovering enterprises renowned formerly which have lived through difficult times. And there are good examples in this respect — Krasnodar compressor plant, may be said, came alive again at the moment. The plant renewed the production and works efficiently with the use of up-to-date technologies, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
Speaking about this year plans Head of regional center stated that the development of industrial sphere is associated with continuation of the implementation of Eastern Industrial Zone project (EIZ) and the creation of technoparks. State-of-the-art productions which are supposed to be launched within the territory of EIZ will give the city highly paid workplaces and taxes needed to develop and improve Krasnodar territories.
The work on these directions is already in progress. Today there are totally five technoparks in Krasnodar. In the end of 2014 the decision was taken to create industrial parks on the basis of plants “Sedin” and “Impulse Company”. The question of foundation of a technopark at the territory of former measuring equipment plant is under consideration now.
To raise the competitiveness of Krasnodar products, industrial enterprises of the city invested over 2,5 billion roubles into the development of production in 2014 that is by 25% higher than in 2013.
