The Mayor of the city took part in the opening ceremony of the city-wide contest of professional skills "The best specialist in the city of Krasnodar 2017" among manufactures of instrument and machine building.
"Machine building sector is the driving force of industry and the economy as a whole. The contest aim is to increase the prestige of the industry, engineering professions and blue-collar jobs. The high competition among the workers that we see during the contest is an indicator of the high potential of our city's industrial development. It's very important that there's a lot of young professionals involved. Indeed, they provide the basis for the development of the real economy," said Evgeny Pervyshov.
The opening ceremony is also attended by Deputy Mayor of the city Dmitry Logvinenko, Director of the department of economic development, investments and external affairs Elena Vasilchenko, Chief of the department of social development Alexander Cherepakhin, deputies of Krasnodar City Duma. The contest is held at Krasnodar Machine-Building College.
Having finished the opening ceremony Evgeny Pervyshov together with sub head of Machine-Building College Sergey Rybalko toured the lecture halls and classrooms of metalworking training facilities equipped with modern working machines, instruments and training equipment.
In this year 46 specialists from 6 leading enterprises of regional capital city (Krasnodar instrument plant Cascade OJSC, Satrun Public Company, 275th Aircraft Repair Plant OJSC, Krasnodar Metal Works Plant JSC, Compressor Plant KOSMA, CLAAS Ltd) are participating in the contest for the title of the best specialist in the city of Krasnodar 2017 in machine building industry.
