The future of “Krasnodar transit” project was discussed during the meeting dedicated to the city planning policy which was led by Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev. The meeting work was also participated by Head of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov.
— The project is one of the largest in the city history. “Krasnodar transit” stipulates moving the railway outside the city and in its place constructing a highway and express tramway line. The project implementation makes it possible to change the transport situation of Krasnodar radically. This will help to unclog not only the centre but all traffic arteries of the city, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
The discussion took place in exhibition centre “Expograd Yug”. It was participated by Vice-Governors of Kuban, Chief architect of Krasnodar Region Yuri Rysin, Chief architect of Krasnodar Igor Mazurok, Deputy Heads of Krasnodar, CEOs of construction companies, architects, members of design institutes and community representatives.
According to the opinion of Krasnodar Head, while making adjustments to urban development plan it is necessary to provide the possibility for this project implementation. Veniamin Kondratiev supported the idea and specified that the project can be implemented only with participation of all interested parties — OJSC Russian Railways chief executives, regional and municipal authorities and also with involvement of interested representatives of business community.
The creation of public and private partnership could become the best solution. As a first step towards the solution we can create a working group involving all concerned parties, — Veniamin Kondratiev said.
