A plan schedule for the survey and classification of hotels in the capital of Kuban has been implemented. The participants of meeting of the anti-terrorist commission of Krasnodar Region noted the positive experience of Krasnodar in the anti-terrorist protection of the hotel facilities.
"In accordance with the decisions of the working group on monitoring the preparation of Krasnodar hotels and other accommodation facilities for the FIFA World Cup 2018, a schedule for their monitoring has been developed and implemented. Awareness-raising activities were conducted with hotel managers regarding the need, in accordance with the law, of an obligatory classification of the accommodation facilities. At present time, the collective means of accommodation in Krasnodar have certificates of classification," commented in the department of economic development, investments and external relations of the Krasnodar administration.
The department's specialists noted that a plan schedule for the survey and classification of hotels of Krasnodar had been completed with participation of officials of the Internal Affairs Directorate and Russian Federal Security Service. All hospitality facilities are assigned the appropriate categories: 2nd danger class — 9 hotels, 3rd danger class — 83; 4th danger class — 166.
Regardless of the danger class established, collective accommodation facilities will be equipped with video surveillance systems, emergency warning about the threat of emergency condition, security lighting, fire safety system, alarm systems and information stands.
"The favourable situation in our city is confirmed by the fact that globally renowned hotel operators are appearing in Krasnodar. International network hotel Hilton Garden Inn Krasnodar, 3-star hotel of international hotel operator "Ibis". It is also expected that in 2018 world known hotel operators will put into service their hotels: "Marriott" claiming the 5 stars category, the hotel "Four Points by Sheraton" with 5 stars category. The construction of a club complex of apartments and a comfort-class hotel "President" with its own internal infrastructure is also under way. The number of collective accommodation facilities in the city of Krasnodar grows steadily," added the department's specialists.
There are 258 hotels and other accommodation facilities in the territory of Krasnodar:
- 3 hotels of 5-star category;
- 22 of 4-star category;
- 44 — 3-star category;
- 16 — 2-star category;
- 1 hotel of 1-star category and
- 170 no-star hotels.
The total number of hotel bedrooms in Krasnodar exceeds 6 thousand rooms, number of beds — more than 12 thousand.
