Today Head of Kuban capital took part in the ceremony dedicated to the opening of the second production line of CLAAS agricultural machinery plant.
— One of the largest industrial enterprises of our city gets to a new level. Over 12 years of work in Krasnodar CLAAS Company has proved itself as a reliable partner of the municipal authorities. The plant has earned a great reputation in region and the country, become one of the leading industrial enterprises of Krasnodar. The capital of Kuban is always open for investors from abroad and we are ready to create best conditions for those ones who come in Krasnodar to implement investment projects in the sphere of economy, industry and agriculture, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
The ceremony was participated by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the RF Evgeny Gromyko, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the RF Alexander Morozov, Vice-Governors Sergey Altukhov and Andrey Korobka, Chairman of Supervisory Board and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Founders Katrina Klaus-Mulhauser, CEO of CLAAS OJSC Ralf Bendish, managerial staff, partners and the team of enterprise.
Prior to the official part guests viewed a video “The art of machinery creation” referring to the history and modern production of CLAAS. The symbolic button to launch the second production line was pushed by Katrina Klaus-Mulhauser.
— This is a huge event for the whole our family CLAAS which numbers totally 11 thousand workers. The project of expansion of the production volume in Krasnodar is an exemplary one in successful the Russian-German economic cooperation. It seemed impossible to have the project implemented just for several years. But even the impossible may become possible. Surely, there were some doubts concerning the project but if we let any probabilities to govern us so we would not be here. Russia is a priority market for us. Once we have come to the decision to enhance the Russian market presence and if this requires the extension of the production volume so we do it in spite of difficult economic situation, — Katrina Klaus-Mulhauser emphasized.
She also added that the plant in Krasnodar is the biggest investment project of CLAAS Company. In her speech she thanked chief executives of the Region and administration of Krasnodar for rendered assistance in realization of the second production line construction project. During official part of the ceremony the plant collective was congratulated by honorable guests.
Vladimir Evlanov together with Katrina Klaus-Mulhauser, Ralf Bendish and technical Director of CLAAS OJSC Roman Prokuratov had a look at the second production line of the plant — workshops of metalwork, painting and assembly. All of these workshops are fitted with the most advanced equipment.
Roman Prokuratov told that the production area has increased by nine times and now is about 45 thousand square meters. The plant presents the complete production cycle. The major part of components which were earlier delivered from abroad will be produced in Krasnodar. At that, Ralf Bendish emphasized that all technical specifications proper for CLAAS products will be completely observed in products made in Krasnodar — quality and reliability of the machinery which will be manufactured in Krasnodar will not differ from the parameters of machines made in German plants.
— It’s with good reason that Krasnodar is known as investment friendly city. Indeed, investments in Krasnodar’s economy bring new technologies, methods of management and well-qualified personnel. New industrial facilities such as CLAAS are being opened up in Krasnodar. And for our part we are ready to render further assistance to the company in its development, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
CLASS Company was founded in 1913. Nowadays it is one of world leaders in the production of agricultural machinery. CLAAS OJSC is a subsidiary enterprise which produces self-propelled combine harvesters and tractors. The construction of CLASS plant in Krasnodar has been started in 2003 and finished in 2005. The production of first two hundred combine harvesters was launched in March 2005. The production capacity was nearly 1000 harvesters and tractors per year. Over 4500 units of equipment have been produced by the plant from 2005 to the present moment. The plant has repeatedly become the winner of Krasnodar contest “The branch best enterprise”.
