During the recent years a little island of recreation in a center of the city has become the island with big and developed infrastructure, net of attractions, eating places and recreation zone. About 1,5 million people take here rest for the year. It is the biggest park of Krasnodar which offers to its guests all sorts of leisure activities suited to every fancy and always of excellent quality. Therefore modern skating rink complex of international standards was opened here in 2008. In addition to mass skating there are organized hockey and figure-skating sections. Ice shows and concerts take place at redesigned arena in holidays. The only private zoological garden in Russia “Safari-park” numbering more than 120 species of animals and birds works at the park. Planetarium of 9 meters height and 80 people capacity was opened at park in the spring 2010. And in a short time it is planned to build cosmonautics museum close to this planetarium.
