Vera F. Galushko

She was nominated by electoral association “Krasnodar local branch of the political party “UNITED RUSSIA””.

Vera F. Galushko was born in Kurganinsk in a large family.

She began her career in 1966 as a worker at a sugar mill.

She graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Adygeya Pedagogical Institute in 1974, taught Physics and Mathematics at Secondary School No.19 in Kurganinsk. She was the Head of the Komsomol Committee of the Kuban State Medical Institute from 1976 to 1978.

She was on party and Soviet work from 1978 to August 1991: occupied the post of instructor, head of the department of propaganda and agitation of the Oktyabrsky Regional Committee of the CPSU in Krasnodar, Deputy Chairman of the Oktyabrsky Executive Committee in Krasnodar. As Deputy Chairman of the Krasnodar Executive Committee she was in charge of social services. She was elected first secretary of the Oktyabrsky District Committee of the CPSU in Krasnodar in 1986. In subsequent years she worked as deputy director of the Krasnodar Regional Puppet Theatre on economic issues, General Director of "Zdorovye" (“Health”) Insurance Company, business manager of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory.

She occupied the position of Deputy Head of the Krasnodar Territory Administration from 1997 to 2001.

She was the Chairman of the Regional Electoral Commission from 20 January 2001 to 13 October 2010.

Vera F. Galushko has higher education in law and a scientific degree of Candidate of Sciences in Law. Her dissertation is on improving the work of electoral commissions.

She is a Hero of Labour of Kuban. She was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", of the First and Second Degrees, the Order of Honour, and the Commemorative Medal "For Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Kuban" of the First Degree.

Vera F. Galushko has a daughter, who works as a doctor, two grandchildren.
