Since 2014, Baden TV (a German broadcaster) and Krasnodar TV (then Krasnodar Plus) have been implementing a joint TV project in the framework of the sister-city relations between Krasnodar and Karlsruhe (Germany), initiated by the city administrations and public of both cities.
The cooperation began with the visit of a Baden TV representative to Krasnodar in 2012 (he visited the local television station). The details of the future project were discussed by the heads of both TV companies the following year in Karlsruhe.
Today citizens of Krasnodar and Karlsruhe learn about the current events of the foreign sister-city from the TV news on a regular basis. Once a month, Baden TV publishes a programme devoted to Krasnodar: Krasnodar-Magazin.
Krasnodar TV publishes reports from Karlsruhe in its news feed.
The department of foreign relations and protocol of the city administration of Krasnodar oversees this project and prepares monthly translations of reports from Krasnodar and Karlsruhe.
